How does online support work?
Computer Repairs Online utilizes the Remote Desktop Protocol (RDP) to establish a connection to your PC across the Internet. Via this connection our Technicians can interact with your computer directly, just like they were sitting in front of it.
The system is secure and convenient. Most importantly you can watch the whole process on your screen. In fact many customers use these sessions as a training aide, watching our Technician work often provides our customers with a greater understanding of the operation of their computer.
Why should I choose Computer Repairs Online?
Australian based, Certified Technicians who are just a phone call away. When you phone you will not find yourself in some third world call centre.
We are committed to provide high quality customer service. Out Technicians are there to assist you in any way possible. Whilst technical expertise is a given, there is a definite emphasis that our Technical Staff provide the highest quality service imaginable.
Do you guarantee your work?
Absolutely. As previously stated we are committed to providing as high a quality of service as possible.
If your not satisfied then we have failed in this commitment.
I don’t have a computer problem per say but just need some assistance using a program on my computer. Can you assist me?
Of course. Many customers call just for this purpose. We encourage our customers to keep list of questions to ask our technicians, when they are in a session.
“How do I transfer my photos to DVD?” “How do I convert my Word Doc to a PDF?” “What’s the quickest way to attach a photo to an email?” These are common questions and the techniques involved are easily demonstrated via a shared screen.
For many people the easiest way to learn is visually and our shared screen technology is ideally suited for this kind of training.
Our Certified Technicians are experienced in a wide array of utilities and software platforms, not just Microsoft Operating Systems.
Microsoft Office, Photoshop and the Adobe Creative Suites, Myob, Joomla, WordPress…… The list goes on.
There is a wide range and a great depth of experience amongst our Technical Staff. If we can help we will.
Can you get back into my computer after my support session is completed?
No our support sessions are established using a nine digit, encrypted support key. This support key is unique to each session. Once the session is completed the key is no longer valid. To establish a new session the customer is required to enter a new key on their screen.
This process gives the customer complete control over access to their system.
We do have the option to provide unattended support sessions but these sessions are still dependant on the customer providing permission to do this. These sessions are also subject to an even higher level of security.
Typically “unattended support” is utilized by our business customers to provide service access after hours. This is cost effective for many businesses as staff members are unaffected by service requirements and no productive time is lost
Do you support Macs and Linux/Unix PC’s?
No, not at this stage. We are monitoring demand and we will examine support for these platforms at a later date.
Can you provide support via dial up connection?
Yes although the performance is poor. There have been occasions where we have used Dial Up Networking to connect to a customers system to resolve issues with their Broadband connection.
It can be done but the performance of our remote connection is very slow .
